Brighton Bandits 1 won the inaugural GFSN Brighton 5-a-Side Tournament held at Stanley Deason Leisure Centre on Saturday 7 July 2007. The Bandits beat the Wild Geese (comprising mainly ex-Stonewall players) 2-0 in the final. James Edeki of Lewes Asbo's (London Falcons) won the Golden Boot for scoring 10 goals during the group and knockout stages. The Fair Play award went to Stonewall 2. Brighton Bandits would like to extend their thanks to the ten teams who travelled down for the weekend, as well as to the referees who did an excellent job. Refreshments for the tournament were provided by the Amsterdam Hotel and the medals and trophies sponsored by G Scene magazine (and presented by the ever-wonderful Maisie Trollette).
